Title: General requirements
Scope: Investigate, develop and maintain standard specifications, test methods, definitions and practices for the design, construction and repair of marine vessels, shipboard quality assurance, human factors, management systems, regulatory requirements, technical data management.

WG1: Launching appliances for davit-launched lifeboats
Task: Based on IMO resolution A; 689(17)-Testing of life saving appliances, 1983 Amendments to SOLAS 1974 and ISO 6067, incorporating ISO/CD 6066-1+2 to develop WI 15516: Ships and marine technology-launching appliances for davit-launched lifeboats.
Work items assigned to WG1: (04.26) and (04.30).
