The title was changed to "Mechanical vibration and shock - Guidelines for the measurement, reporting and evaluation of structural vibration in ships"
Scope : "The International Standard establishes uniform procedures for acquiring, processing, evaluating and presenting shipboard vibration data for ships. It is applicable to both turbine and diesel-driven ships, with single or multiple shafts. Requirements for instrumentation, methods of measurement and processing of data are also defined. The data will be useful for design evaluation of a ship and diagnostics, and comparision with the vibration performance of other vessels."
