How to Book a Reservation
1. Over the Internet
You can book reservation at some Welcome Inns directly over the Internet. About one-third of these establishments currently support online booking. You can make the booking as follows.
2) In the Search box at the top of the page, enter “WI” followed by the code number of the establishment you are interested in. (Don't include any spaces between “WI” and the number.) Then click on Search.
3) Follow the instructions on the screen.
If the establishment you are interested in does not support Internet reservations, you can book using one the methods below.
All listings in this directory are current as of December, 2000, and are subject to change without notice. While WIRC has made a good-faith effort to ensure that this information is accurate, we accept no liability for errors.
2. By E-mail, Fax, or Mail
1) E-mail
Go to the Japan Travel Updates website at
http://www.jnto.go.jp, and click on Accommodations. When the Accommodations page appears, click on Welcome Inn Reservation Assistance. Then follow the instructions on the screen.
2) By fax or mail
Detach, fill out, and submit the Reservation Request Form attached at the center of this directory.
・Deadline for Reservation Requests:
By Internet: It depends on respective inns, but we recommend that you try to book at least one week before the start of your trip.
By e-mail or fax: Please submit your request at least one week before the start of your trip.
By mail: Please submit your request at least three weeks before the start of your trip.
・Confirmation
WIRC shall keep you posted on the status of your request, using the same communication method that you used to make the request. Upon confirming your reservation with a Welcome Inn of your choice, WIRC shall send you the following.
1. Confirmation form(s)
2. Information forms
3. Map(s)
3. At Booking Counters in Japan
You can find WIRC booking counters at Narita's New Tokyo International Airport (at the Tourist Information Centers in each of the airport terminals), at Osaka's Kansai Airport (at the Tourist Information Center), and in central Tokyo and central Kyoto. For exact locations and hours of operation, please refer to the back cover.
Please Note::
1) We cannot accept reservation requests over the phone.
2) If you are planning to travel in Japan during the following peak periods, please reserve as early as you can.
New Year Holidays: December 29 to January 3
Cherry Blossoms: Late March through early April
Golden Week: April 29 to May 5
O-Bon: Second and third weeks of August
Leaf Season: Middle to late November (particularly in Kyoto)
