2. Sport for All Organizations Recognized by lOC
International Coordinating Committee for Sport for All Organization (ICSA)

Several international organizations devote their programs exclusively or largely to Sport for All. Because of obvious need to increase their collaboration, and to coordinate their work with the IOC Sport for All programs, during the 3rd World Congress of Sport for All in 1992, the IOC President, Juan Antonio Samaranch, initiated the creation of a special committee for these international Sport for All organizations. Under the chairmanship of Prof. Paavo V. Komi Finland), the International Coordinating Committee for Sport for All Organizations (ICSA) has since met at least once a year.

The activities of ICSA include:
1) Creating conditions and circumstances for its members to work together.
2) Facilitating the dissemination of information and the exchange of views among its members. To reach this goal the ICSA produces a Calendar of Events for Sport for All listing activities of the members of the ICSA. This calendar includes congresses, clinics/courses and events occurring in this particular field.
3) Collaborating with the IOC Sport for All Commission especially in assisting in the organization of the World Sport for All Congresses. (Text excerpt from IOC web site)

The 9th World Sport for All Congress will be held in Arnhem, the Netherlands from October 27 to 30, 2002. For more information visit the Congress website.
