6. SPORT PARTICIPATION SURVEY
Since circa 1960, TKKF conducted the survey every year. According to the report "Participation of Poles in Sports and Physical Recreation (between 1998 and 1999), about 30-35% of population in general participated in sport and recreation, specifically the children ca 70%, the seniors ca 15-20%, the adults ca 30-40%.

3,638 sport clubs, 490,000 members, 372,000 exercisers. TKKF has 1,129 units with 149,780 members, 23,401 events with 4.5 million participation. (2000)

7. SPECIAL EVENTS AND PROGRAMS
"Challenge Day"
About 2 millions participants take part in thousands of the sports and recreational events. The main aim of "Challenge Day" is to encourage people to participate in any activity game, sport for at least 30 minutes.
"Festival of the recreationalplays and games"
During this festival are presented the traditional, sometimes forgotten, plays and games. Besides these there are also presented new forms of the physical activities. The offer of this festival is addressed to the organizers of the sports event for children and youth.
"Festival of the water's sports"
The festival is organized in the indoors swimming pools. It is aim is to popularise the water's sports: swimming, polo canoeing, diving, Iife -saving.
"Festival of sport for children and youth"
The young people from Poland, Ukraine, Slovakia, Belarus. Russia, Germany and Holland take part in this event. They compete in tennis, football, basketball, volleyball and handball. The aim of this festival is combating intolerance and xenophobia.

3. The organised events are sometimes too costly to participate in them.

Manager of Physical Recreation: (120h) With specialization for organization of youth sports, events recreational festivals, women sport or target groups etc. Trains ca 5,000 persons per year.
