12. PRESENT ISSUES AND CHALLENGES
Our problem are in some cases how young our work is inside the sport clubs and it cost a lot of work to get the sport clubs active in Sport for All.
We are now working on a national program "Iceland on the move 2002- 2005".
The object of the program is to encourage more Icelandic people of all ages to engage in sports and physical activities. The program will be directed by the Sport for All department of the NOC of Iceland in co-operation with other organizations with similar aims, plus the Icelandic government. Before we can start this program we have to get financial support from the Icelandic government and it could be a problem. But with good work and a well-prepared action plan we hope that we will solve these problems in time and become stronger in the near future.
