6. SPORT PARTICIPATION SURVEY 
 Social Science Research Centre of the University of Hong Kong conducted"Sports Participation Survey" to about 1,000 of a representative sample of Hong Kong residents four times a year. The result show that in average about 50% of Hong Kong citizens had participated in at least one sport during  the year.

 The Hong Kong Government is currently reviewing the overall sports structure of Hong Kong and the report is expected to come out in November 2001. Also please note the function of organizing promotional activities has been re-allocated to the LCSD and no longer the duty of HKSDB. It would be more appropriate in the future to contact the LCSD for matters related to the Sport for All movement.
