In fiscal 2000-01, ended March 31, 2001, The Tokyo Foundation received endowments of \2,621 million from The Nippon Foundation, \294 million from the Japan Motorboat Racing Association, \50 million from the 19 organizers of the Federation of Prefectural Associations of Motorboat Racing, and \40 million from the 13 participating companies of the Japan Boat Racing Center. As of March 31, 2001, the total endowment amounted to \16,813 million, compared with \13,809 million a year earlier. Special funds remained unchanged at \15,520 million.

　In the year under review, The Tokyo Foundation received \3,046 million in contributions for its endowment and \641 million in assistance. The Tokyo Foundation recorded investment and miscellaneous income of \687 million and transfers from special deposits of \50 million. Income of \2,950 million was carried over from the previous year. Total income amounted to \4,678 million.

　The Tokyo Foundation registered total operating expenses of \645 million. Of this amount, the Research Division accounted for \270 million, the Scholarship Division for \243 million, the Public Relations Division for \132 million, and operations development expenses for \52 million. Administrative expenses totaled \448 million. Expenditure on acquisition of property amounted to \960,000. Transfers to the endowment amounted to \3,046 million and \55 million of transfers to special deposits were made. Total expenditures were \4,206 million, resulting in an income/expenditure balance carried forward to fiscal 2001-02 of \472 million.
