By the same reason, the following sentence should be added in the item "LOADING" and/or "WEATHER PRECAUTION":

"Loading in rain is prohibited,"

Furthermore, these cargo should not be exposed in rainy weather before loading. Therefore, the sentence in the item "PRECAUTIONS" should be amended as follows:

Re: FERROPHOSPHORUS BC No.020 - VENTILATION

(27) Ingress of water to the cargo holds for this cargo should be prevented because these cargoes possess chemical hazards in case of contact with water. Therefore, the ventilation openings should be closed during rainy weather, In view of this, the description should be read as follows (c.f. paragraph 2.3.1 in regulation II-2/53 of SOLAS Convention):

"The cargo spaces should be provided with an effective power ventilation system. Ventilation fans should normally be run continuously whenever cargoes are on board. Where this is impracticable, they should be operated as weather permits and in any case for a reasonable period prior to discharge."

Re: PITCH PRILL BC No.050

(28) The softening point, i.e., the temperature at which this cargo become soft, is observed between 40℃ to 50℃. The melting point of this cargo is about 105℃ to 107℃. By these reasons, I propose the following changes of descriptions:

HAZARD: Add the sentence as to read:

"Powder of the cargo is easy to be ignited and may cause fire and explosion. Special care should be taken for preventing fire during loading/discharging cargo work."

The latter sentence can be moved to the item "SPECIAL PRECAUTION (APPENDIX)".

WEATHER PRECAUTION: Change the sentence as follows:

LOADING: Add the sentence as to read:

"The special safety measures, such as putting on dunnage, should be taken if the cargo is loaded on heating tank to avoid softening and melting of the cargo,"

SPECIAL PRECAUTION (APPENDIX): Change the sentences as follows:

Consider to add the following information:

"13. Information: Softening point is about 40℃ to 50℃.

Melting point is about 105℃ to 10℃."

Re: Cargoes for which no special precaution is applied.

(29) The words "Can be handled in wet weather" and "Can be loaded in the rain" should be deleted, It is not needed to write these words after "No special precautions". In the entries of following cargoes, "No special precautions" is sufficient.
