12. Pityriasis rosea. Occurs typically in adolescents or young adults. 'Pityriasis' means bran and individual lesions are red, with a collar of fine scales pointing towards the centre. The condition often starts with a 'herald' patch, (lower pirture), which is larger than the subsequent lesions, which are widely distributed, especially on the trunk. Sensation, sweating, peripheral nerves-all normal.
