ストラディヴァリウス1736年製ヴァイオリン「ムンツ」
アントニオ・ストラディヴァリ(1614-1737)が1736年に製作した楽器で、内側ラベルにはストラディヴァリ本人の手書きにより「92歳の作品」と書かれている非常に珍しい楽器である。ストラディヴァリが追い求め続けた音色を持つ最後の作品として知られている。透明な黄褐色のニスが楽器ほぼ全体に綺麗に残っており、保存状態も音色も格段に優れているため、大変貴重な楽器とされている。前記のデル・ジェスと同様、1874年以降に英国のムンツ氏が一時所有していたことからこの名前が付けられた。1997年7月に当財団が購入した。
Antonio Stradivarius 1736 Violin "Muntz"
This violin was made by Antonio Stradivari (1644- 1737) in 1736. The label inside this instrument bears an inscription, "92 years old", handwritten by Stradivari himself. It is one of the last few works of masterpiece ever produced by the master, The condition of this violin is exceptional and its tonal quality has a first class reputation. This instrument is also known as "Muntz" because it has been in the same Muntz collection at one time since 1874 as the del Gesu "Muntz" violin. Nippon Music Foundation acquired the violin in July 1997.
