VALENTINE 2,300 m-Lane Type RO / RO Trailer Carrier
A 2,307m lane roll-on / roll-off type cargo ship VALENTINE was built at Sakaide Works of Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd., and delivered to RO / RO-LUX S.A. in February 1999.
Features
1. The ship can carry 155 trailers and 458 cars on five decks (three for heavy vehicles such as trailers and two for light vehicles such as cars and vans).
2. The ship has two fixed rampways and two hoistable rampways in the hold, and one set of large rampway at the stern for roll-on / roll-off cargo loading / unloading.
3. Two sets of CPP, rudder and side thruster enable the ship to provide a good maneuverability in narrow channel navigation and berthing.
4. An automatic heel control device (a hull heel within two degrees) is equipped to enhance loading and unloading efficiency.
