ALNOOF 3,800-TEU Container Ship
A 3,800-TEU type container ship ALNOOF was built at Sakaide Works of Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd., and delivered to United Arab Shipping Co. in November 1998.
It is the fourth of four sister ships.
Features
1. The ship is a newly designed, high-speed and economical Panamax container ship developed based on KHI's accumulated know-how on propulsion performance and stability.
2. Containers of 3,802-TEU which is the largest number for Panamax container ship can be loaded, in 11 rows stacked in 8 tiers in the holds (2,068-TEU containers) and in 13 rows stacked in 4 tiers on the hatch covers (1,734-TEU containers).
3. Besides 20 / 40-foot containers, the ship can load 411 x 45-foot containers on deck and above aft mooring space. Also, the ship can load 360 x air-cooled refrigerated containers on deck and 927 x special dangerous containers in Nos.2 and 3 cargo holds.
4. The wheelhouse being equipped with the latest nautical instruments has obtained Lloyd's Register Shipping Notation NAVI 1 for good arrangement of equipment and wide view from the bridge.
5. The mooring winch with auto-tension device, automatic heel adjustment during container loading and concentrated observation system are provided to reduce the operator's work load.
