The 27,500-dwt class bulk carrier ATLANTIC LAUREL, built at Setoda Works of Naikai Zosen Corporation, was delivered to H Corporation S.A.on July 15, 1999.
Features
1. The vessel is single decker having a forecastle. She is a single-screw diesel-powered open bulk carrier.
2. The hatch width is expanded to enable cargoes to be handled vertically within the holds when the hatch covers are open, and every hold is cubically shaped.
3. The cargo space is divided into five holds for loading of dry bulk items including grain, coal, steel products and forest products.
4. The cargo gear comprises four 30-t deck cranes for efficient cargo handling.
5. Hatches are equipped with weathertight folding box type steel covers.
