CRYSTAL LILY 48,913-dwt Bulk Carrier

 

Ishikawajima-Harima Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. has completed 7 vessels of the Future-48, 48,000-dwt standard handy size bulk carrier. The Future-48 was developed as successor of the superior features of the well established IHI Future series.

CRYSTAL LILY is the first vessel of the Future-48 and delivered to MI-DAS Lines S.A. on February 17, 1999 at the Tokyo shipyard.

 

Features

1. The Future-48 has optimum dimensions to cover world-wide trade.

2. The Future-48 has five cargo holds, strengthened for heavy cargo with Nos.2 and 4 holds empty and fitted with wide weathertight folding type hatch covers.

3. The Future-48 has four deck cranes of 25-ton capacity and can be fitted with electro hydraulic grabs as option.

4. The Future-48 has fuel efficient hull form with IHI LV (Low Viscous) Fin attached at the stern part.

5. The Future-48 complies with the requirements of IACS Bulk Carrier Safety.

6. Grain cargo can be loaded with untrimmed ends.

7. Hold access complies with AWWF requirements.
