LEPTA MERMAID 45,908-dwt Product Tanker
Shin Kurushima Dockyard Co., Ltd.delivered the 45,908-dwt product carrier, LEPTA MERMAID to Lepta Shipping Co., Ltd. (Panama) in April 1999.
The vessel is built based on the new standardized design, with double hull and double bottom, developed by Shin Kurushima and have cargo tank capacity of 53,560 m3, which consists of sixteen (16) cargo tanks, allowing transport of four (4) types of petroleum products simultaneously.
Four (4) cargo pumps with 1,000 m3/hr achieve efficient handling of cargoes. Safety measures applied ensure against various risks.
The vapor emission control system is applied for cargo tanks, including the inert gas security system used for W.B.T.in event of oil leakage. Safety access to the bow part of the ship is fully equipped for safety of the crews.
Shin Kurushima standardized arrangement is applied for accommodation quarter.
A convenient pace is provided for private cabins, and private lavatory of so-called unit type with versatile functions is arranged for each officer's cabin.
