REGGANE 84,000 m3 LPG Carrier
An 84,000 m3 LPG carrier REGGANE was built at Sakaide Works of Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd., and delivered to Sonatrach Gas Carrier Corporation in November 1999.
Features
1. The ship is designed to carry commercial propane and commercial butane, having four independent prismatic cargo tanks with insulation.
2. The cargo tanks are designed for IMO-classified independent Type A for service at a minimum vapor pressure of 0.25 bar G and a minimum temperature of -48 ℃. They are of carbon manganese steel for low temperature service.
3. The piping system is designed to allow two different cargoes to be loaded or unloaded simultaneously and also to be carried at the same time.
4. Two electric motor-driven submerged pumps (600 m3/h each)are provided for each cargo tank to unload cargo. Two booster pumps and one cargo heater are provided on the upper deck to transfer fully refrigerated cargo to the ambient temperature shore tank.
5. A 5,000 Nm3/h inert gas generator is operated during gas grade changes even while the ship is docking or undocking.
