GOLAR MAZO for Faraway Maritime Shipping Corporation was delivered on January 7,2000, at Nagasaki Shipyard & Machinery Works of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. (MHI).
The GOLAR MAZO is a 135,000 m3 LNG carrier of Moss spherical tank system, which is dedicated to transporting LNG from Indonesia to Taiwan.
Features
1. High propulsive performance and good maneuverability are achieved b the refined hull form and optimum dimension for the five-tank system.
2. For economical LNG transportation, a low BOR of 0.15%/day is achieved by means of effective use of thermal brake and tank insulation of a panel system.
3. A forcing vaporizer system for burning flexibility of BOG combined with HFO has been adopted in order to contribute to economical operation.
4. For safe and easy navigation, the wheelhouse arrangement and navigation equipment has been designed according to "NAV1" notation of LR. Furthermore, rear visibility from the workstation is possible.
5. Wide terminal compatibility, with 20 loading and unloading terminals, including major Japanese and Korean terminals, has been checked.
