The 107,160-dwt crude oil tanker RAINBOW RIVER was built by Koyo Dockyard Co., Ltd. and delivered to Galaxy Naviera Maritime S.A. on October 25, 1999.
Features
1. The cargo oil space has a full double hull structure to prevent massive oil spills in the event of collision or stranding, satisfying the requirement of MARPOL REGULATION 13F.
2. The cargo handling system is divided into three groups. Cargo oil is handled by three turbine driven cargo oil pumps with an automatic unloading system.
3. Heating coils are provided in all cargo tanks.
4. Ballast tanks are divided to port and starboard sides.
5. Inerting and freeing of gas for double bottom hull spaces is provided.
6. Safe access to bow is provided.
7. Easy maintenance access to ballast tanks is provided.
8. A cargo vapor emission control system is provided for prevention of air pollution.
9. Fitted with emergency towing arrangement.
