1961年釜山生まれ。即興やパフォーマンスをも含む多数のアンサンブル作品を作曲。オーストラリアで出版社Red House Editionsを運営し、出版や音楽イヴェントのプロデュースを手掛ける。現在はライヴ・オーディオーヴィジュアル・パフォーマンスのためのソフトウェアを開発中であり、ドイツのフェルベルトで行われるTuchfulung2音楽祭の「復興プロジェクト」に携わっている。
Ross Hazeldine was born in Pusan, Korea in 1961. He has composed for a variety of ensembles including works for improvisation and chamber performance. He runs the Australian publishing group Red House Editions and coordinates publishing projects and music events.
Written at the request of German violinist Clemens Merkel, United Fruit is a deliberately intense work using minimal instrumentation. It can be performed either in a concert hall or outdoors. The title refers to the "United Fruit Company" which operated banana plantations in Guatemala in th 1950s. The company was complicit with the United States government to overthrow the elected government and maintain a puppet dictator in that country, a dictatorship that lasted for over twenty-five years. This is the world premiere performance.

He is presently professor of the composition department of Yeungmam University, music college. DAEGUM-SORI: I have tried continuously to modernize the Korean traditional music. This work is a result of such efforts. I researched, reorganized the characteristic of instrumentation and peculiarity of melody which appear In DAEGUM - Sanjo. Percussion Group has a roll to support melodies. This was commissioned by Mosaico Music Festival in Poland 1995.
Woo Sang Lim was born in 1935 and graduated from Keimyung University and the same Graduate School of Education. His work include "Mountainscape" for orchestra, chamber works, art songs, choral works. Was a dean of music college of Keimyung University, now a professor in same university.
In this piece I organized then tone scale as main material, for expression of the atmosphere of atonal music as well as Korean traditional scale.
The ten tone scale made up for two pentatonic scale. Rhythmic plan is processed by repetition of a several rhythmic elements and I intended the diversity of timbre and sonority by use of percussions.
There is no consideration of special musical form.
