M.H.ベルナール

メゾ・ソプラノとテープのための「5つのバリの間奏曲」

　

マリー=エレーヌ・ベルナールは、ジャン・シュヴァルツに電子音楽を、作曲をベルナール・コヴァンナおよびパスカル・デュサパンに学ぶ。バリ島への旅行を夢見ていたところ、電子音響音楽作品の依頼を受けた。神からの贈り物だ12ヶ月間のバリ滞在した。帰国後、ノスタルジアと願望の念を持って、現地で録音した音響素材とともにスタジオに籠もり、旅行の問に経験した印象と感情を音楽的に再構成してみようと試みた。そして、俳句のスタイルに則った5つの小品が生まれた。第1曲"madu umbara"：バリの言葉の不思議な香りが虫の音が聞こえる熱帯の深い夜を思い起こさせる。第2曲"at Mode Gambleran"：島で最も有名なガムラン製作者の思い出。第3曲"Kokotcke"：市場の売り子の女性のように、果物の名前で遊んでいる。第4曲"hai"：バリ島の日常言語。川で水浴びを楽しむ人々の雰囲気を表現しようと試みた。第5曲"crossing"：素晴らしい島への別れを表現したもの。

嶋津武仁

シンバル奏者とCDそしてライブ・エレクトロニックのための「ラフクライ」

　

東京学芸大学大学院修了。ベルリン芸術大学卒業。甲斐説宗、尹伊桑他に師事。この作品では、3つの異なる次元の音楽上のプロセスが多層的かつ相関的に構築されている。一つは笑いから泣きに至るプロセスであり、そこには「狂気」さえ過(よぎ)ものであり、また、一つはミュージック・コンタレートからコンピュータ音楽へ、そして再び元の姿に戻るプロセスであり、そして最後に、奏者のパフォーマンスに裏付けされた、強迫感(あるいは狂気)から安らぎへのプロセスである。「泣く」と「笑う」という行為は反対の言葉に思われる一方、とても近いところにもある人間の最も根源的表現行為と思われる。そしてなによりもその中間の部分に大きな意味と魅力を感じるのである。そうした不可解な状態をLAUGHCRYという造語で表現している。この作品の素材は、笑い声、泣き声、シンバルそしてP.シェフエールのある作品から引用されたサウンドからなっている。この作品は、DAADより委嘱され、その「ミュージック・コンクレート誕生50周年」を記念するフェスティバル(98年)のために作曲されたものである。99年10月改訂。

　

SHIMAZU Takehito

"LAUGHCRY" Cymbal, CD and live electronics

　

He graduated from the postgraduate school of Tokyo Gakugei University and Umversitat ' der Kunst in Berlin. He studied with KAI Sesshu and Yun Isang and so on.

In this work, the musical processes in three different dimension are structured in a multilayered and correlative fashion. The first one is the process from "laughing" the to "crying" and even madness passes this process. The second one is e process from music concrete to computer music, then returns to the original figure. The third and last one is the process from a compulsive feeling (or madness) to a relaxed one supported by the performance of the players. It seems that "laughing" is opposite to "cry ng" However, the composer finds an important meaning and fascination in the very middle point between them and calls such a inconceivable situation "LAUGHCRY", a coinage. The sound materials in this work consist of laughing and weeping voices and sounds extracted from a work by P. Schaeffer. The processing methods of the sound materials are very similar to the methodology of music concrete. This work was composed for a festival to celebrate 50th anniversary of the birth of music concrete wich was commissioned by DAAD.

　

　

黄聖浩

韓国伝統歌唱、電子音とリアルタイム制御による映像のための「心象歌曲」

　

国立ソウル大学を卒業後、ブリュッセルのKoninklijk音楽院で作曲と音楽理論をユトレヒト音楽院およびユトレヒト大学の音響研究所で電子音楽を学ぶ。現在韓国国立芸術大学の教授の任にあり、KEAMS(韓国電子音楽協会)の会長を務める。

これは南谷朱義植の時調、“荊山で璞玉を得て”に基ずいてなされた作品。効率的な、詩語傳達とはよそに、その詩語を解麗し、悠畏ならしめるなど、詩語の流れと、その呼吸を重要視する韓國の傳統歌曲は、それ故に至極音響的といえる。作曲家は解體された詩語の詩想を電了音響で具現しつつ、歌曲の音響、的特徴をいきいきと再現しようとした。さらに唱者(うたいて)のおす<リズムのバク>と相呼癒して影像も変化を演じさせる、かくて、multimedia的な歌曲の世界を実現するのであった。

　

HWANG Sung Ho

"Imagery Gagok" traditional singer, electronic sound and real time controlled images

　

HWANG Sung Ho graduated from Seoul National University, then studied composition and music theory at Brussel Koninklijk Conservatorium and electronic music at Utrecht Conservatorium and Institute voor Sonologie, Utrecht University. Now, he is a professor at Korean National University of Arts, president of KEAMS (Korean Electro-Acoustic Music Society).

This piece is based on JUE Eui Sik's sizo(a genre of korean traditional poetry), "Bakok from Mount Hyungsan". Bakok means a natural jade. The piece shows strong timbral features, characteristic of traditional Korean vocal music which places importance on rhythm and breathing techniques. The timbral features are brought to the forefront using techniques that dismantle, prolong and stretch poetic wording rather than effectively portraying its meaning. The poetic images that represent the dismantled poetic wordings were realized using manipulation of computer and electronic sound processing methods. Text: If I show people the Bakok from Mt.Hyungsan. For it is a stone, who can know the inner essence Let it be. Won't there be someone who will know? Leave alone as if a poor stone.
