八木節宗家五代目掘込源太一門 上州桂会
「その昔、源太が人生をかけた八木節を、人生をかけて後世に伝える。」をモットーにがんばっているチームです。
リーダーの中里明康氏は、笛の名手である父親の笛の音を子守り歌に育ち、幼少のころから祭りという祭りに必ず出向き、やがて根っからの祭り好きの少年となりました。いつの頃からか「お祭り明」の名称で呼ばれるようになりました。平成3年に上州桂会を結成し、太田市主催・関八州八木節大会において準優勝、団体優勝を2年続けて受賞しています。また、桐生市で行われる全日本八木節競演大会でも毎年好成績をおさめています。
本日のコンサートには、八木節宗家五代目堀込源太氏も共演、「これぞ八木節」なるものを披露いたします。
Yagibushi Katsurakai
Yagibushi is a type of songs for Bon Odori (festivals to commemorate ancestors) handed down through generations in Yagi area in Gunma Prefecture. It is performed with Taiko, flute and simple dance.
Because the first generation of Genta Horikome lineage is known for his superb singing, Yagibushi is also known as Genta-bushi.
Akiyasu Nakazato, the leader of Katsurakai, grew up listening to the flute played by his father, a master flutist. He was also so fond of festivals that he was called "Festival-kid". Since its organization in 1991, Katsurakai has received numerous grand prizes from various Yagibushi contests.
The fifth generation of Horikome Genta will perform this evening to introduce you to the "real" Yagibushi.
