このたび、心身に障害のある日本の子供たちを支援されている日本YMCA国際賛助会(FCSC)の募金活動にご協力させていただき、日本太鼓チャリティーコンサートを開催できますことは、誠に喜ばしいことであります。
財団法人日本太鼓連盟は、1997年11月に設立されて以来、日本太鼓の演奏会、コンクール、障害者大会、講習会、技能認定並びに国際交流等の事業を積極的に実施してきております。私どもは、これからも新たな公益活動を展開し、日本太鼓を国内のみならず国際的にも普及、発展させるべく最大の努力をしていく所存であります。
本日のコンサートは、全国各地の代表的な日本太鼓チームから選抜された5チームに第2回日本太鼓ジュニアコンクールで優勝した静岡県の天城連峰太鼓を加えた6チームによる演奏です。日本太鼓に対する皆様のご関心とご理解をいただければ望外の幸せでございます。
It is our great pleasure and honour to hold Taiko Charity Concert this evening in cooperation with YMCA Foreign Community Supporting Committee (FCSC) to assist mentally and/or physically handicapped children in Japan.
Since the Nippon Taiko Foundation became a foundation in November 1997, we have continued to develop new activities with the aim to preserve and further promote Taiko traditions not only in Japan, but also globally. Nippon Taiko concerts, Taiko competitions, Taiko training sessions, certifications, and international cultural exchanges are some of the areas we have made positive progress.
In total, six groups will perform this evening. Five top Taiko teams were selected representing various regions in Japan. In addition, we are very proud to introduce Amagirenpo Taiko, the winner of the Second Nippon Taiko Junior Contest. We sincerely hope that you will enjoy this evening's concert.
