Because qualitative analyses of the solutions derived from olivine and basalt showed no signs of amino acids, the quantitative analyses was conducted on only these two types of solutions and is shown in Table 2. In all instances, very minute quantities of amino acids were synthesized. Table 3 lists the results of the quantitative analysis when the gas resembling the present-day atmosphere was used in the bubbling. There was no difference in the results between the present-day and primeval atmospheres.
