Based on literature[6,7], the consequence severity μs1 of main engine module can be determined as between catastrophic and critical. It can be represented by

Based on literature[6,7], the failure consequence probability μp1 of main engine module can be determined as between reasonably unlikely and likely. It can be represented by

[0/1 0.15/2 0.75/3 0.85/4 0.25/5 0/6 0/7]

 

The failure degree of main engine module can be got:

μf1 = μs1 O (μp1×μl1) = (0/1 0/2 0/3 0/4 03.5/5 0.35/6 0.35/7)

Therefore we can get:

μd1=[(0.3648 , 'very important'), 0.2404,'important'), (0.2174,'average'),(0.1774,'negligible')]

It can be noticed that the evaluation of important degree of main engine module should be identified to belong to 'very important'.

With same method we can get the calculating result of important degree of other modules. They are listed in table 10.
