In addition, components of this unit are extremely simple compared with conventional ammonia production technologies by reforming of hydrocarbons.
5. CONCLUSION
As discussed above, this ammonia production unit is useful for SCR for marine engines and will be a great help to reduce NOx emissions. This is due to the new ruthenium catalyst whose activity is much higher that the conventional iron based catalyst at low pressure and temperature.
