1. Reception Party

All participants and their accompanying spouses are welcome to attend the reception party.
Some foods, soft drinks and alcoholic beverages will be served.
2. Opening Ceremony

3. Banquet
Date: Wednesday, 25th October 2000
Time: 18:30 - 21:00
Place: Royal Hall, Banquet Building 5th floor of Akasaka Prince Hotel, two minutes walk from Nippon Toshi Center Kaikan (location is shown in your Lunch Map)
Fee: \10,000 per person (free of charge for accompanying spouse)
*No registration is available at the Banquet site. Please ensure your registration for the banquet before 17:00 on the 25th at the registration desk on 5th floor of the Symposium site.
4. Technical Visits
These tours will be available to registered participants.

T-1: Visit Technical Research Association of MEGA-FLOAT and Japan Marine Science & Technology Center located in Yokosuka, Kanagawa
・ The MEGA-FLOAT is a great raft (1000m long and up to 120m wide), made by welding together numerous box-shaped pontoons on the water and mooring the center structure in position to create an enormous flat space
・ Japan Marine Science & Technology Center, Shinkai 2000 submersible which is capable of diving to depths of 2000 meters, and its mother ship Natsushima, and/or Urashima which is a unmanned deep sea cruising AUV( autonomous underwater vehicle) vessel
T-2: Visit Maglev (Magnetic Levitation System) Exhibition Center, Railway Technical Research Institute, and Katsunuma Winery
