Resolution 191
TC8 adopts the Draft Agenda in documents 8N 944R1 as agenda for the 19th meeting
Resolution 192
ISO/TC8 appoints the following members to the drafting committee; Mr. Hime (USA), Mr. Abbate (Italy), Mr. Molstrand (Denmark), Mr. go (TC8 secretariat)
Resolution 193
ISO/TC8 accepts the report of the TC8 secretariat as presented in document 8N 948R1.
Resolution 194
By unanimous vote TC/8 confirms Mr. Joseph J. Angelo as Chairman of SC/2 for another term of three years..
Resolution 195
It is confirmed that Standards developed by TC8 Subcommittees and Subcommittee's working groups shall be prepared and published in English only. Translations into other ISO official languages may be prepared by the ISO Central Secretariat after publication. Translations into other languages, if desired, may be prepared by relevant National standardization bodies , but this is outside the responsibility of ISO/TC8.
Resolution 196
TC/8 directs its Advisory Group to prepare a frame with structure and content for a condensed secretariat report containing only essential information for the business of TC8, not contained in other documents.
Resolution 197
Mr. Arikawa, Chairman of SC9, agrees to update the Review Of Existing Maritime Standards List and the ISO Book of Shipbuilding Standards on priority basis as requested by TC8.
Resolution 198
It is agreed that the current format of 8N1000 is acceptable and will remain unchanged. It is also agreed that the document of 8N1000 draft R5 is open to comment to the Secretary Mr. Ogo, by October 31st, with the final document to be published on the ISO server by November 10th.
Folders are to be available on the ISO server for the Secretariat, and the Subcommittees. The name of each working group convener is to be added to the 8N1000 folder as a point of reference and contact.
Resolution 199
ISO/TC8 thanks Mr. Andrzej Szemro, the delegation of Poland, and CTO for the excellent facilities provided for the 19th plenary meeting in Gdansk.
Resolutions No.191 to No.199 are approved by the committee members.
