WG1: Launching appliances for davit-1aunched lifeboats
Task: Based on IMO resolution A:689 (17)- Testing of life saving appliances, 1983 Amendments to SOLAS 1974 and ISO 6067, incorporating ISO/CD 6066-1+2 to develop WI 15516: Ships and marine technology-1aunching appliances for davit-launched lifeboats.
Work items assigned to WC 1: (04.23)
Convener: Xu Yue (China)
Participation: China, Denmark, Italy Germany, Romania, Sweden, Ukraine, United Kingdom and ISO/TC8/SC1 (Mr. K.heinz).
WG2: Deck machinery
Task: Anchoring and mooring system, cargo system, lifting gear, towing system, control gear for hull closure, accommodation ladder, accommodation ladder winch;, Launching appliances for survival craft or rescue boat, and ship-to-shore interface etc.
Work items assigned to WG2 (04.04), (04.05), (04.11), (04.15), (04.16) and (04.22).
Convener: Huang Xiechu (China)
Participation: China, Denmark, Germany, Japan, (correspondent), Norway and USA.
WG3: Outfitting
Task: Anchor, anchor chain, bollard, fairlead and mooring fittings etc.
Work items assigned to WG3: (04.01) and (04.25).
Convener: An expert to be appointed.
Participation: China, Denmark, Germany, USA, and others (to be determined).
