3.17. Structural Features (構造特徴)
構造特徴UoFでは構造の切り欠きを定義する製品アイテムに専門化して詳細を述べる。構造の切り欠きとは、パネルやアッセンブリといった部分構造や複合構造体のような、構造からの材料の除去という切り欠きの本質を示している。
切り欠きは、それらがいくつ境界要素を持っているかによって区別される。：エッジ切り欠きは1つの境界を持ち、コーナー切り欠きは2つの境界を持ち、内部切り欠き(ホール)は境界を持たない。
