8.1.1.　アクティビティー

契約の為の設計はNode.A12のprepare bidの中のNode.A122のcreate preliminary machinery designのNode.A1225のcreate preliminary machinery designがあり、この中にアイテム毎のアクティビティーがあり、その下が2〜3個のアクティビティーで構成されている。

・Node.A12251: select main engine

・Node.A122511: specify and select main engine(^*1)

・Node.A122512: agree on main engine detail specification(^*1)

・Node.A12252: design transmission system

・Node.A122521: select components

・Node.A122522: carry out transmission system analysis

・Node.A122523: agree design

・Node.A12253: select auxiliary equipment

・Node.A122531: specify and select auxiliary equipment

・Node.A122532: agree on auxiliary equipment detail specification

・Node.A12254: design manoeuvering systems

・Node.A122541: select components

・Node.A122542: carry out manoeuvering system analysis

・Node.A122543: agree design

・Node.A12255: select deck machinery

・Node.A122551: specify and select deck machinely

・Node.A122552: agree on detail specification of deck machinely

これから分かるように、Mechanical Systemsに関する設計とは仕様に合った機器の選択とそれらを組み合わせて(systemとして組み上げ)機能を発揮させる作業である。
