Connectors
Physical/functional connector are differentiated by the type of item it is connecting
Connector is a shape_aspect of the product_definition that it is connecting - plant_item_connector is the subtype
・Participates in at most one connection
・Piping connectors must specify nominal and one or both of min/max pressure as design service characterisitics
・Piping connectors must specify nominal and one or both of min/max temperature as design service characteristics
Connectors and Connections
Connections are both
・shape_ aspect_relationships that assosiate two connectors (that are shape_aspects) and shape_aspects of the assembly plant item containing the two connected plant items.
This holds true for piping system lines i.e., logical piping system representations).
・The piping system line is a shape aspect of a (logical/functional) piping system.
・Line segment connections are shape_aspects_relationships between two segment shape aspects, and a shape_aspect of the piping system/line.
