The impression you receive when you hear your voice with your ears is considerably different from that when you hear it through a tape recorder.
2) You can practice your newly acquired speech at various times and places.
i. Greet your family and call one of them by name and ask him (or her) to do something for you.
ii. When you feel sure you can speak, seize every opportunity to talk with your friends and even with those whom you don't know. Buy tobacco and a ticket yourself. Give an order in a restaurant.
iii. Try to speak in the presence of others or in a noisy place.
