・ Delete paragraph 4 in its entirety.
Draft Regulation 20 - Carriage requirements and performance standards for shipborne navigational systems and equipment
・ In subparagraph 1.2.4 delete the word "official" to read:
".4 nautical charts to plan and display its route for the intended voyage and to plot and monitor positions throughout the voyage;"
Draft Regulation 25 - Nautical Charts and Publications
・ In paragraph 1 delete the word "official" so that the draft text preserves the text of SOLAS V/20 that is presently in force:
"1. All ships shall carry adequate and up-to-date nautical charts, sailing directions, lists of lights, notices to mariners, tide tables and all other nautical publications necessary for the intended voyage."
・ Delete paragraph 2 in its entirety and replace with a footnote to paragraph 1 to read:
"As provided by Regulation V/2.3, the requirement to carry nautical charts may be satisfied by a specially compiled digital database displayed on an electronic chart display system which meets the performance standards set out in resolution A.817 (19), as amended."
