The ASSEMBLY,

HAVING CONSIDERED the recommendation made by the Maritime Safety Committee at its ....th session,
RESOLVES to amend resolution A.705 (17) Promulgation of Maritime Safety Information as follows:
1. In the diagram in 1.1, replace "SAR alerts" by "other urgent safety-related messages";
2. Replace the definition in 2.1.2 by: "Maritime safety information service means a co-ordinated service for the promulgation of one or more categories of maritime safety information",
REQUESTS the Maritime Safety Committee to amend or provide for the amendment of those texts for which it is responsible.
