The meeting agreed that an optimum solution may be half way between the above two extremes. LR would develop some of these groups of properties and propose this level.

3.1 Modularizalion (by Jochen Haenisch)
WG10 STEP Modularizationのガイドラインおよびmoduleが利用可能となっているが、ShipチームではBB、SCMの手法を用いており、すでに進行中のAPにこのModular Approachを採用することはしない。新規APや現在進行中のAPが2nd editionとなった時に採用(remodelling)を考えている。管理項目の変更(Change management)がShipチームで重要課題となっている。Configuration ManagementをPDMスキーマに合わせることが必要である。
以下にModularizationに関するShip teamでの議論詳細を示す。
WG10 meeting London, AP modularization, went through PDM schema compared it to CM mappings of the shipbuilders, some commonalties for persons,organisations,approvals. Do we want to make modules out of the BBs、When (during CD phase), which modules now include mapping tables? Expect support from T23 within SC4.
Modularization guidelines available. Suite of modules is available. MARISTEP II contains a deliverable "which impact has the modules approach" s, shall we go for it?
Example for inconsistency is classification: here by groups, there by product_classification, … currently only AP in very early stages or recycled (2nd editions) are only considering of using or remodelling. Change management seems to be on focus with Ship participation. Configuration Management is the first thing to look at to conform to PDM schema..

1. Is SC4 modularization an issue for ship APs?
2. How do the BBs relate to the modularization approach? Could/should they become modules?
3. How would the SCM be integrated in such an approach?
4. What happen if BBs and SC4 modules overlap in their ARMs, what takes precedence in ship APs? What happens to such a BB if the module takes precedence?
5. What influence could/should the shipbuilding AP developers/EMSA/NIDDESC etc. have on the SC4 modularization approach and how?

As the time passes Ship APs are hit by more and more requirements that make the APs development more extencive and late.
