TORM MARLENE 69,548-dwt Panamax Bulk Carrier
The 69,548-dwt Panamax bulk carrier TORM MARLENE was delivered in June 1997 to Milamores Shipping S.A. by Tsuneishi Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. This type of Panamax bulk carriers have been built as standard economical vessel developed by Tsuneishi Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. and the vessel is the 39th vessel of this standard type.
The cargo space divided into seven cargo holds with top side shoulder tanks and hoppered bottom tanks are well arranged for carrying bulk cargoes, i.e. grain, coal, iron ore. Heavy bulk cargoes can be loaded alternately in holds Nos. 1, 3, 5 and 7.
Hydraulic motor driven, side rolling type steel hatch covers are so provided that the opening of the hatches are wide enough for easy cargo handling.
Hatch opening size： 14.28m x 12.80m for No. 1 and 16.80m x 14.40m for No. 2〜No. 7.
