ORCHID RIVER 170,896-dwt Bulk Carrier
The 170,896-dwt bulk carrier ORCHID RIVER was built by Koyo Dockyard Co., Ltd. and delivered to Kumiai Navigation (Pte) Ltd. of Singapore in September 1997.
This is the largest Capesize bulk carrier built by Koyo Dockyard Co., Ltd.
The vessel is in service to transport iron ore and coal.
Features
1. The vessel has nine cargo holds, each provided with side-rolling type hatch cover.
2. The hull has the strength sufficient to accommodate diversified methods of loading.
3. A stern form fitted with a shoe piece is adopted and the steering area is enlarged for improved maneuverability.
