The following points where a crane can make the most of the effect of the above INVERTER control are the topics of the INVERTER drive gantry crane:
1) Enough space for the electric room, i.e., enough maintenance space is secured so that the optimum parameter adjustments for the actual loading and unloading work on site can be made easily.
2) Fault finding system in which fault finding and monitoring are incorporated is provided, which allows support by the crew and quick recovery at a fault occurrence.
3) No reverse power is generated in the main power source system of the ship, which eliminates the necessity for reverse power absorption equipment.
4) The equipment, which is conventionally mounted on the exposed portions of the crane, is provided inside the crane as much as possible, so that they can be maintained from the inside. This makes the appearance of the crane quite simple.
In addition to the above, of course, the following features of the exiting all-weather gantry crane remain:
1) The holds are perfectly shielded by Fixed Roof, Movable Roofs and Center Curtains provided to prevent cargoes from getting wet in the rain.
2) The Trolley has the shifting and slewing function which enables the spotting of a cargo with the gantry stopping travelling.
3) A hatch cover handling equipment is provided to handle the pontoon hatch cover.
4) Various cargo attachments including container spreaders, pulp frames, lumber frames, vacuum cramps, etc. are provided.
