As mentioned above, the Nagasaki region where Tsuji is located has a historical and solid cultural/social foundation as a historic trading district for Asia and Europe which are big commercial blocs.
In the prospects for the 21st century, the ASEAN economic bloc with China, Japan and Four Dragons as its center will make efforts to overcome any political and economical difficulty between the countries, while it is sure to compare favorably with USA and EU and develop as one of the world's biggest three economic blocs.
Currently, in Japan, a national project of the development of a super-high speed freight vessel TSL (Techno Super Liner) which will transport 1000ton of cargoes by sea at a speed of 100km/h with a cruising radius of 1000km is in progress. After the achievement of this project, it is expected that this Nagasaki region, which includes the majority of Main Land China and Four Dragons within a 1500km-radius circle with Sasebo as a center, will hold an important position as a manufacturing and physical distribution base that has a high intellectual level and low labor cost as weapons.
Particularly, the positive influence of this will clearly be embodied in the international shipbuilding industry where this region accounts for 80% of the market.
Tsuji's strategy is the diversification of the channels of manufacturing, information material and distribution sources and the construction of a network for them on the earth, on the basis of the above-mentioned historical foundation for foreign trade, so that Tsuji could provide global-standard marine machinery as packages in a constant manner with no gap in time, space, opportunity or value for all the regions of the world's biggest three economic blocs, that is USA, EU and ASIA PACIFIC.
Tsuji has already expanded its business bases to London, Amsterdam, Tientsin and Shanghai, and especially, in Tientsin, established a joint venture in a form of technical tie-up. Further, Tsuji has contracted technical cooperation with Salzgitter Maschinenbau: SMAG in Germany and have been making our footing there firmer.
Now, I will introduce one by one Tsuji's marine machinery which satisfies the following key points required in the bulk transportation by sea in the age of international sea/land/air intermodal consistent transportation:
1) Quality Service
2) Damage Free Cargo Handling
3) Interoperability
