4.1.5 Consideration given to fire precaution
(1) A pipeless structure is introduced by means of non-cooling to the fuel valve and multi parts method for the lubricating oil cooler and filter, and pipings joining part and thin pipes are greatly reduced.
(2) The fuel injection pump chamber cover extends to the upper position of the cylinder head and covers the fuel injection pipe system, which is a closed and thermal insulation type.
(3) The heat preventive type in which heat preventive wool is included is introduced to the exhaust manifold cover, in consideration of fire precautions.
4.1.6 Easy installation
(1) In case of specifications for the directly mounting with anti-vibration rubber mounts (6N18(A)L), installation mode as a compact generating set is made rapid advance.
(2) Importance is given to reduction of working load in the shipyard by introducing fresh water mixing cooling system and intensive method to put together outer piping joining part of the fuel oil and cooling water pipes.
4.1.7 Easy assembly and disassembly
(1) A pipeless structure is positively introduced, such as unification of air cooler and air duct and unification of air inlet duct, cooling water distributing pipes and cylinder block.
(2) By arranging the suction and the exhaust system on the same side, labor-saving for maintenance work is attempted.
(3) The inspection door is prepared on both sides of the cylinder block and introduction of forming gum seal makes it possible to reduce the number of bolt as well as inspection work.
