Other projects and plans
･ Work is currently going on to have a Trilateral Agreement between Thailand, Vietnam and Lao PDR to help the development of transit transport.
･ The agreement will inclnde transit, inter-state and multi-modal transport in a single document. It will inclde several co-ordination agreements, mainly agreement upon cross-border processing facilities, common vehicle weight linnts and agreements about the relevant changes into each country's legislation. The main idea is to give free access to vehicles from any country to any country.
･ This year has been named the “Visit the Laos Year”, to promote tourism. We are expecting one million tourists into our country this year.
