TWENTY-ONE DESCRIPTI0NS OF THE TRAFFIC SEPARATI0NSCHEMES

 

LANDFALL OFF ISLA SAN LORENZO REEF (CALLAO BAY)

Note: the chart is based on Canoa 1956 (Venezuela) Datum.)

Description of traffic separation scheme

(a) A separation zone of 0.03 miles (50 m wide at its narrowest part and 0.1 5 miles (270 m) at its widest, bounded by a line connecting the following geographical points:

(1) 12E02.55' S; 77E10.0'W
(2) 12E02.4' S; 77E11.0' W
(3) 12E02.0' S; 77E13.5' W

(a1) a traffic lane O.15 miles wide at each side of the separation zone
(a2) principal traffic bearing 099E - 279E

(b) A separation zone O.3 miles wide at its narrowest part and 0.6 miles at its widest, bounded by a line connecting the following geographical polnts:

(4) 12E02.4' S; 77E15.7' W
(5) 12E03.58' S; 77E17.55' W
(6) 12E05.0' S; 77E17.0' W

(bl) a traffic lane 0.2 miles wide at its narrowest part and 0.4 miles at its widest at each side of the separation zone

(b2) principal traffic bearings 057E - 237E and 159E - 339E

(c) A separation zone 0.3 miles wide, bounded by a line connecting the following geographical polnts:

(7) 12E01.7' S; 77E16.0' W
(8) 12E01.7' S; 77E19.0' W

(c1) a traffic lane 0.18 miles wide at each side of the separation zone

(c2) principal traffic bearing 090E - 270E

(d) A separation zone 0.3 miles wide, bounded by a line connecting the following geographical points:

(9) 12E00.87' S; 77E15.5' W
(10)11E59.0' S; 77E17.53' W

(d1) a traffic lane 0.5 miles wide at each side of the separation zone

(d2) principal traffic bearlng132E - 312E

(e) A "precautionary area" of halfa mile (0.5) radius. This point is an area of convergence of tratffic from the North, South, East and West to the Landifall off Ccllao Bay, with the followlng geographical central point:

12EO1.7'S; 77E 15.O'W

(f) a traffic lane 0.3 miles wide for traffic in the direction of anchorage No.1(see note 1)

(f1 ) Principal traffic bearing:

060E

(g) a traffic lane for traffic in a south-easterly direction (see note 2)

(h) positioning of a light buoy, at depth 50 m. And a Racon as a positional aid for entry into the main channel of Puerto Callao in the following geographical position:

12EO2.0'S; 77E13.5' W

(i) INSHORE TRAFFIC ZONE

The area between the coast and the landward boundary of the traffic separation scheme is designated as an inshore traffic zone, for local traffic in both directions.
