"No I don't know what age I was when they brought me here to Ambillikai. I only know that I haven't seen my family since.
I have made my own family here.
I take care of the animals. They're not afraid of me.
And, I take care of people when they first come. I tell them not to be afraid; if their family doesn't come back, they will be loved here by people who also have leprosy".
