6.2 OPERATIONAL CONTROLS
The operational controls of daylight signaling lamps should meet the requirements of resolution A.694(17) and the applicable requirements of the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC)*
6.3 PRESENTATION OF INFORAMATION
- no requirements
6.4 SOFTWARE REQUIRMENTS
- no requirements
7 DESIGN AND INSTALLATION
7.1 DURABILITY AND RESISTANCE TO ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
The illuminant should be safely fitted in the daylight signaling lamp; use of screwed sockets should be avoided.
Daylight signaling lamps should be designed in such a way that the illuminant can be easily replaced also in tile dark.
The sighting mechanism should be mounted in a fixed attitude, parallel to the optical axis.
All parts of' daylight signaling lamps should be made of anti-magnetic material.
Daylight signaling lamps should be so constructed that the accumulation of condensed water is avoided.
The materials used should withstand heat generation during operation.
With respect to durability and resistance to environmental conditions, daylight signaling lamps should meet the requirements specified in resolution A.694(17) and in the applicable requirements of the IEC*
7.2 INTERFERENCE
With respect to electrical and electromagnetic interferences daylight signaling lamps should meet the requirements of resolutions A.694(17) and A.813(19) and the applicable IEC requirements*
7.3 POWER SUPPLY
Daylight signaling lamps should not be solely dependent upon the ship's main or emergency sources of electrical energy.
Daylight signaling lamps should be provided with a portable battery with a complete weight of not more than 7.5 kg.
