With reference to your letters of 17th October and 9th December 1996,I have now consulted with the IMPA International Technical Committee concerning Pilot Ladders.
I am pleased to inform you that a pilot boarding ladder built and tested in accordance with JIS F2622-1985 with a minimum width of 600 mm is quite acceptable to IMPA.
