INTRODUCTION
The purpose of this Business Plan is to serve as a working document which will set the goals and objectives to accomplish our Strategic Vision and provide the action plan for measurement of our performance and success. This plan will be the guidance document for our subcommittees to support these goals and objectives. It will be revised periodically and is effective immediately.
This Business Plan is based on the Strategic Vision/Long Range Plan (ISO/TC8 AG N433), revised 1994-05-25; the reorganized committee structure approved 1994-09-11 at TC8 Plenary meeting in Norway, and the comprehensive status report ISO/TC 8 N 1000, which represents "living" document of the ISO/TC8 Work Programme and linkages to IMO interest items. Appendix I will be updated periodically to reflect the current version of ISO/TC 8 N 1000
