"pick up"
"Pick up the ball." のような例では、 "pick up" は｢拾う、つまみあげる｣です。また "I'Il pick you up at the airport." では "pick you up" で｢あなたを(車で)迎えに行く｣という意味。
さて、今回の会話ではマイクが "I was wondering if I could pick up my check this week" と言っています。この場合の "pick up" は｢受け取る、受け取りに行く(来る)｣ という意味。
