preserving such ruins which are valuable tourism resources, and showing them to the general public, is so important. At the ruins of the Silk Road in China, there are signal fire bases. I would like people in the tourism industry to give consideration to details such as how to make people understand the functions of signal fire bases.

When the tourism places are developed, there may be hotels and restaurants built. However, it would be a great loss if by the inconsiderate development, the wonderful scenery of such signal fire base was destroyed. I believe it is best if ruins were preserved with the surrounding environment in harmony. About a month ago, we traveled from a place called Katsupadokia (? Please check) to the capital, Ankara in Turkey. The Silk Road still exists there, and on the way there are caravansaries. The road was made by the king Darius of Persia. The great king Alexandra used the road when he invaded Persia. I could really feel that the mountains and the rivers I saw must be the same as the ones the great king Alexandra saw. It was such a wonderful experience.

I wish the Silk Road of China to be preserved in such way, including the surrounding environment. Even as for the signal fire bases, I would like people to actually try them out - to see how the signal fire can be seen from far away. By giving demonstrations, detailed explanations will not be necessary. People will be able to appreciate how difficult the communication must have been therefore signal fires really worked.

Such first had experiences contribute great a deal to the personality development of people. The Silk Road is full of such great tourism resources. I will end my speech by sincerely wishing that they will be utilized fully and that tourism will have further prosperity.
