Under Water Inspection Vehicle RTV-500MKII
Mitsui Engineering & Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. (MES) produces the Mitsui RTV-500MK ? Self-propelled light weight underwater inspection ROV system. RTV-500MK ? is the second generation of successful RTV- 500, and has two high resolution color TV cameras, 360°color scanning sonar, SSBL positioning system with 6 degrees maneuverabilities.
A trim control (PAT.) and three automatic control (APC, AYC, ARC) systems provide the easy operation and high maneuverabilities for various inspection work. For example, it is easy for high speed diving with trim down attitude and view up ship's bottom with trim up attitude.
RTV-500MK ? has also a three functions manipulator for light weight recovery. The speed is 3.4 knots and dive up to 500 meters depth, but no special deployment system.
